David Dunn Obituary

David Wesley Dunn of Pensacola, FL passed away August 30, 2025.

David was a person that had a God given charisma that drew people to him. As a young man David didn't want to be a policeman or a fireman, all David wanted to be from a very young age was a pastor. Everywhere David went, he talked to everyone he met about the Love of Jesus, and about the cross and no matter what you had done in life, Jesus had shed his blood for your forgiveness.

David's dream came true, he spent over a year helping the missionaries in Europe, pastoring a church in Virginia for over three years, and worked helping a local church in Texas for over seven years. He moved to Pensacola to help his sister Marie and her husband Ken start a new church and pursued assisting pastors and congregation until his health would not allow it. He was introducing Christ to other patients in the nursing home, he never stopped sharing the love of God.

The fulfillment of his life was seeing others come to the Lord, accept forgiveness, making sure everyone he met knew that Jesus loved them unconditionally, and the cost of eternal salvation was free.

David had a God given heart of love and compassion for people.

"He was a people person!"

David is survived by his wife, Gina Dunn; brother, John Dunn (Debbie); and four sisters, Rebecca "Becky" Scapin, Sharron Gallant (Tom), Esther Marie Ponder (Ken), and Teresa Dunn; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
