Bryce Scherff Obituary
A Gathering of Family and Friends celebrating the life of Bryce Scherff will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 1:00 - 3:30 pm at Walters Funeral Home. Bryce was 51 years old when he passed away on October 21, 2023.
Bryce's family will receive visitors offering condolences from 1:00 - 3:00 pm, and the sharing of memories and words of comfort will begin at 3:00 pm.
Survivors include his three children, Emma, Madeline, and Jake Scherff; mother, Linda Scherff; sister, Beverly Scherff Stone; brother, Larry Scherff, Jr. and his wife Jenise; mother of his children, Rebecca Scherff, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Scherff, Sr..
Bryce was a native of San Antonio and reared in Austin, Tex. He resided in Opelousas for nearly 20 years. He was an RV mechanic by trade and was considered one of the best in the state. He had a special way of loving his children: coaching volleyball with Madeline, playing uno with Emma,and going crabbing with Jake. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and had a passion for music. His favorite memories shared were of times spent near the water.
Serving as an honorary pallbearer is his best friend, Bryan Gillentine.
