Good men like Bryan give of themselves to others and make them better men. Your friends from the old Holy Rosary High School remember a basketball player student and true friend.

You were my favorite teacher. On 9/11, you brought in a TV during Current Events class and answered as many of our questions as you could. Most of us were 14-15, and scared, and confused. You were there for us, and always kept us curious but empathetic. You talked often of your love of your wife and the elliptical at the gym. You were a wonderful man.

My condolences to the family. Former student of 10+ years and can say I will never forget Mr. Cummiskey. He was the funniest teacher that I had the pleasure of having a class with and made a true impact on myself and so many others. Thank you for the stories and the laughs, and may you rest in peace

I´m sorry to hear of this passing. I was a former student. I took Bryons history class and had him for study hall. It was such a relaxing classroom to be. From him sharing home stories and his love for Beyonce. I was a bit of a wild kid and had bought him a Christmas gift one year and he couldn´t stop laughing and thanked me. He told so many funny stories and always talked about his loving wife. Will miss you dearly sir.

I was lucky enough to call Bryon my friend. He was a mentor, a colleague, an inspiration. His sense of humor was legendary and his ability to connect with students of all levels gave us an example to follow. He was also one of the kindest human beings I have ever met. I am certain heaven welcomed him with open arms and his own special place. He was one of a kind and our world is sadder, so much sadder without him.
