Jerry Allen Cagle Feb. 7, 1951 – May 17, 2025 Jasper, Tennessee Jerry Allen "Buddy" Cagle, 74, passed away at his home in Jasper, TN on Saturday, May 17, 2025. He was a graduate of South Pittsburg High School. He also was a graduate of Tennessee Police Academy. He served in law enforcement for many years and served as the Chief of Police in Jasper, TN. He then worked in the auto parts industry at D&W Auto Parts and O'Reilly Auto Parts until retiring. Buddy married Linda Sue Goff, the love of his life, on April 25, 1978, at the Jasper Fire Hall by Roger Webb. Buddy and Linda enjoyed vacationing together. He loved her cooking. They were married for 38 years until Linda passed away in 2016. Buddy enjoyed his family. He especially enjoyed playing "Santa" on Christmas Eve. He relaxed by spending his time boating and fishing. He also liked to spend time working in his shop. He was an avid reader and enjoyed being on his computer. He made everyone around him feel special and loved. Buddy is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Goff Cagle; Grandparents, Grady and Donie Cagle and Pierce and Margaret Hill; parents, James Edward and Elizabeth Rose Hill Cagle, and Stepson Tommy Johnson. He is survived by brother, Bill (Tracy) Cagle, precious niece, Elizabeth Karol Cagle, sister, Linda Carol Cagle, stepson, David (Patty) Johnson, stepdaughter, Candy (Jerry Don) Case, step daughter-in-law Kathy Johnson, step grandchildren, Staci (Victoria and Preston) Case, Andy (Kailyn) and Jeremy (Sophia) Johnson, Chandler (Oliver and Eleanor) and Taylor Johnson, and a very special fur baby Toby. The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Rogers Funeral Home, South Pittsburg Chapel, 400 Laurel Ave, South Pittsburg, TN 37380 (423)
