Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel - LampasasCharles Austin Cagle, 45, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at his home in Lampasas, Texas. He was born on March 17, 1980, in Stephenville, Texas, to Charles Edgar Cagle and Joann Dimas. Austin had been in and out of the hospital for several months, battling congestive heart failure, and was unable to overcome his illness.
A sunset memorial service celebrating Austin's life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Donall Estates Fisherman's Park, 1801 County Road 140, Burnet, TX, at 3:00 pm. This park is located directly on Lake Buchannan with stunning views, and the family requests those attending come dressed in comfortable clothing. The family will be greeting friends and relatives and providing refreshments immediately after the memorial service at the same location. A private family burial will be held the next day at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
Austin grew up in Lampasas, Texas and graduated from Lampasas High School in the Class of 1998. He loved music and was a gifted musician. He was part of the Lampasas High School Band and played in the drum line. After high school, Austin worked in construction as a mason for many years.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents of Lampasas, Harland Edgar and Esperanza Pantoja Cagle (father's parents) and Julian and Juanita Dimas (mother's parents).
Austin is survived by his children, Anastacia Marie, Tristand Joel, and Charlee; his parents, Charlie (Vicki Whitis) and Jo Ann Dimas; his sister, Jessica Jo Frye (Stephen); his nephew, Ezekiel James, and nieces, Zionna Jazmeen, and Zemirah Joanna Shalom Pickett, all of Lampasas.
He had a large extended family from both sides of his parents, with many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is remembered as kind-hearted, respectful, and always willing to help in any way he could. Austin was deeply loved by his family and will be missed.
