Buddy Ray Crochet

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ivy "Buddy" Ray Crochet, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who left us peacefully on December 23, 2024, at the age of 81. Buddy was born on August 11, 1943, in Jennings, LA, and throughout his life, he became a cornerstone of his community and a source of joy for all who knew him.

Buddy was a dedicated proprietor of Buddy's Service Station, where his hard work and friendly demeanor made him a favorite among customers and friends. He proudly raised his family in Jennings, where he found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, especially fishing, watching football games and spending time with loved ones. He leaves behind his devoted spouse, Linda Crochet, along with his children: Trisha (Damon) Smith, Brett (Mechelle) Crochet, and Michael (Debbie) Crochet. Buddy was also a cherished brother to Betty LeJeune, Peggy (Wilton) Fontenot, Susie (Emile) Fontenot, and Jessie (Jeanette) Crochet, and a proud grandfather to Evan (Amber) Crochet, Zachary (Katherine) Crochet, Bethany (Greg) Chaumont, Elizabeth (Cesar) Sanchez, Tyler Crochet, Bryce Crochet, and four great-grandchildren, Autumn, Sage, Ashton and Olivia.

A celebration of Buddy's life will take place on December 27, 2024, at Miguez Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM, leading into the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Following the service, Buddy will be cremated.

Buddy's warmth, kindness, and love for his family will be missed by all. We invite everyone who knew him to join us in honoring his memory and sharing in the love that he spread throughout his life.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents Jessie Crochet and Mable Touchet Crochet; and his brother Thomas Crochet.
