Buddy Hill Obituary
Buddy Lynn Hill, age 82, of Bryant, AL, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Buddy's life will be held on Tuesday, January 28th at 1:00 PM ET in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Gib Dock Stephens Cemetery.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Monday, January 27th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM ET, and on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the service begins.
Buddy cherished his family deeply, and his love for them was evident, especially in his relationship with his grandchildren. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and dedicated 41 years of his professional life to Alstom Power in Chattanooga, TN. In his leisure time, he found joy in traveling, gardening, tending to his yard, and supporting Alabama football. Buddy will be fondly remembered and missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Charlotte Hill; daughters, Cheryl (David) Smedley and Lisa Durham; grandchildren, Sarah (Josh) Hahn and Alaina (Chase) Merrell; great-grandchildren, Kohl and Sam Hahn; sisters, Joan Hill, Jo (Larry) Cooper, and Donna (Norman) Kieffer; and brothers, Neal (Jean) Hill, Leon (Martha) Hill, and Teddy (Lisa) Hill.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Otha and Euna Lee Hill, and his nephew Neal Hill Jr.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of those he touched.
Instead of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to the Flat Rock Community Center at 894 CO RD 326, Flat Rock, AL, 35966.
