Buddy became an ordained minister in 1974 and served as a pastor for over 50 years. He served as pastor of First Baptist Church in Oxford, Riverchase Baptist Church in Hoover, Anniston 1st Baptist Church of McClellan until retirement. After retirement he served as interim minister at Alexandria Baptist Church and Lakeview Baptist Church. He was currently serving as the Legacy Pastor at Golden Springs Baptist Church. Buddy was a dedicated servant of the Lord, firmly committed to God, and lived his life faithfully teaching others about the Lord. He loved to help build churches; his current passion was helping build the Children's Building at Golden Springs Baptist Church. Part of his community involvement was working with InterFaith Ministries since 2003, he received the Dill Award in 2007 and was still involved with them to this day. He wanted his family to know the Lord and always be involved in church and live life faithfully. His legacy will continue to live on through his family whom he loved dearly, the people he impacted, churches he built and families he loved, and referred to them as "Families of Faith."
Flowers will be accepted or please donate to Golden Springs Baptist Church Children's Building Fund or InterFaith Ministries.
