Mr. Buford Hardy Pilkinton

Buford Hardy Pilkinton, 82, husband of the late Cynthia Jayne Pilkinton, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Community Hospice in Vidalia, GA. Born in Sycamore, GA, Mr. Pilkinton was the son of the late Morris B. Pilkinton and Tiny Elizabeth Wilson Pilkinton. He retired from CSX Railroad. Mr. Pilkinton is survived by his daughter: Susan Pirkle (Vance) of Seneca, SC; sons: Orrin Pilkinton (Melanie) and Stephen Pilkinton (Cindy), both of McRae, GA; brother: Terry Pilkinton (Kathy) of Sycamore, GA; sister: Gloria Jean Cameron (Billy Ray) of Sycamore, GA; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at First Baptist Church of McRae, in McRae, GA. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, prior to the service, at the church.
