It is with great sadness the family of Bufus "Bubba" Cannon, Jr., 77, of San Angelo went to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM Friday June 13, 2025, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Belvedere Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Cannon was born January 12, 1948 to Bufus M. Cannon, Sr. and Galdie Mae Bankes. Bubba attended school in Oakwood and later moved to Big Spring. While living in Big Spring he met and later married Edna Faye Johnson, to their union they had three children, before going their separate ways. Bubba was a very hard-working man and worked hard as a mechanic and then finished out his career working as a mechanical contractor, before retiring. Bubba moved to San Angelo to be near his children and great grandchildren, whom he adored. Bufus' life revolved around his family, and he would do anything for them. He was a very quiet man and kept to himself, but if he cared for you, he would give you the clothes off his back if you were in need. Bubba was so loved and will be greatly missed.
Bubba is survived by a son, Bufus Cannon, II and wife Melissa; a daughter, Marian Louise Cannon; his grandchildren, Brianna Simone Sanders, Tiera Denise Bamberg, James Deshawn Cannon, and Joshua Lee Cannon; his great grandchildren, Keon Latrell Sanders, Dominic Sterling Ball, Elliana Jo Ball, McKenna Lynn Sanders, Emelia Paige Ball, and Karalle Honey Cannon, as well as a special great niece, Nikea Alice Johnson, and great nephews, Eddie Lee Medrano, and Courtney Dewayne Medrano, who he considered his grandchildren as well as lots of family and friends who all loved him dearly. Bubba was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Galdie Mae Cannon, a brother, Billy Cannon, a grand daughter, Kea L. Miller, and a great grandson, Kaiden "KJ" Sanders.
The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to Rue and everyone at Fresenius Kidney Care Red Arroyo Dialysis Center for all the love and support offered during this difficult time.
