Burnetta Ruth Deischer, 95, of Marshalltown, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown.

Burnetta Ruth Stone was born on July 18, 1929 in State Center, Iowa. She was the daughter of Fred William and Frances Elizabeth (Wilkening) Stone. Ruth graduated from State Center High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Chester Johnston until his passing and was later married to Delmar Deischer. Ruth had worked in banking and real estate. She was an avid gardener and loved tending to her flowers.
Ruth is survived by her daughter: Sherry Reisetter of Marshalltown; siblings: Helen Boyce, Ray (Prudy) Stone and Marvin (Carol) Stone; step-children: Denny (Rene) Deischer and Penny (Mark Kiroff) Sandvig; great-granddaughter: Kaylin McRill along with numerous other grandchildren and other family members.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husbands: Chester and Delmar; son: Terry Johnston; grandson: Todd Reisetter; parents: Fred and Frances and son-in-law: Leo Reisetter.
