BOWMAN, Burnice "Bernie". Devoted husband of Georgia (Reynolds) Bowman for 60 years and father to Lissa Bowman (Pedro Munoz) and Paula Waggoner (Brad Waggoner). Bernie's pride and joy were his grandchildren, Emilia Munoz Bowman (Hampton Dodd), and Jacob and Ashley Waggoner. Bernie was born in Booneville, Kentucky, worked as a mail carrier by horse, served in the U.S. Army as an M.P. and worked for Westinghouse as a welder. After retiring, Bernie continued with his own landscaping business. He enjoyed watching the UK Wildcats and Cincinnati Reds. He was an avid knife collector and a member of Fort City Knife Club. Bernie and Georgia have attended Friendship Baptist Church for 57 years.
Visitation will be held at Friendship Baptist Church 8580 Cheviot Rd., Cincinnati on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 11:30 AM until time of Funeral Service at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Friendship Baptist Church or the American Legion Post 630 Blue Ash.
