Evelyn Bowman

Evelyn Bowman, 84, of Monett, MO, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Saturday, October 25, 2025 while at Lacoba Homes in Monett.
Evelyn was born on September 18, 1941 in Cassville, MO, daughter of the late Ralph and Mildred Bennett. Growing up in Purdy, Evelyn graduated with the class of 1959. For many years, she worked as a Legal Secretary. She faithfully served the Lord and was a member of the Church of Christ. Evelyn enjoyed collecting antiques and she loved her Dr. Pepper!
On March 18, 1960 in Purdy, MO, Evelyn Bennett and Edward Bowman were united in marriage. To this union, they were blessed with four children.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Eddie, of the home; her children: Johnny Bowman and wife Carol of Purdy, MO, Gina Brown and husband Bill of Lindale, TX, Joanna Eakin and husband Danny of Reeds Spring, MO and Jeremy Bowman of Branson West, MO; her grandchildren: Jennifer Wimberley and husband Kevin of Gravette, AR, Amy Lehman and husband Nick of Frisco, TX, Dustin Burk and wife Kelsey of Waxhaw, N.C., Braden Bowman and wife Molly of Springdale, AR, Austin Bowman of Purdy, MO and Annabelle Bowman of Purdy, MO; and twelve great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother Jim Bennett, of Purdy; her sisters-in-law Charlene Bennett of Monett and Jeanne Bennett of Purdy; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mildred Bennett; her brothers, Marvin, Clinton, Glendell and Gary; and her sisters, Marilyn, Wilma, Mildred, Nadine and Betty.
Evelyn loved her family and will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Buchanan Funeral Home with Brother Randy Rankin and Brother Mike Brazle officiating. Interment will follow at Arnhart Cemetery, Purdy. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
