Mr. Burnis Owen ‘Bo’ Booth Jr., age 77 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at home. Funeral services for Mr. Booth will be conducted on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at 2PM in the gymnasium at Gibson County High School with Bro. Lane Self officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Trenton.
Bo was born March 14, 1946; the son of the late Burnis Owen & Dorothy (Givens) Booth Sr. Bo retired as Principal of Gibson County High School with 39 years of dedication to the Gibson County Special School District. Not only did he serve as Principal, but he also served as athletic director with 21 years of service. Bo was a Gideons member, Deacon and member of Dyer First Baptist Church, and avid Cardinals & Gibson County Pioneers fan. He was inducted into the Gibson County Sports Hall of Fame, and the TSSAA Hall of Fame.
Bo is survived by his wife, Beverly Booth; son, Jon Jay Booth (Cristi); stepchildren, Bradley Roberts (Lisa), John Roberts (Bethany), Taylor Roberts (Mary); two grandchildren, Katie Booth, Jack Booth; seven step-grandchildren, Abi Roberts, Adi Roberts, Lincoln Roberts, Jaxon Roberts, Ryleigh Roberts, Harper Roberts, and Benjamin Roberts. He was preceded in death by sister, Barbara Powers; and his parents.

Pallbearers are Jack Booth, Taylor Roberts, Jim Acree, Doug Duncan, Jimmy West, Ronnie Barron, Roger Worrell, and Wesley Beal. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Dyer First Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 5PM – 8PM on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Dyer First Baptist Church. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Burnis Owen ‘Bo’ Booth Jr.
