Jeremiah Allen Cherry

Jeremiah Allen Cherry, age 18 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed on Sunday, June 15, 2025. A Memorial service for Jeremiah will be conducted on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 2PM in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with a visitation to begin at 12PM.

Jeremiah was a graduate of Gibson County High School, Class of 2024. He was born July 17, 2006, in McKenzie, TN; the son of Brandon Cherry, and the late Ashleigh Mikayla Brewer Cherry (2024). His family moved to Rutherford, TN around 2019. Jeremiah had worked at Food Rite (Dyer), Rutherford Coffee House, and was currently employed at NSK in Dyersburg. He had just recently moved to Newbern to start his journey as a young man.

Jeremiah was loved by so many in Rutherford, and the surrounding areas. Although he struggled to open up, knowing him was a blessing once he did. He had such a loving, kind heart that will be truly missed. Rest peacefully.

Jeremiah leaves behind his father, Brandon Cherry; four siblings, Anna Cherry, Ethan Cherry, Lucy Cherry, William Lucas III; grandparents, Deborah Darrow, William Lucas; and stepfather, William Lucas Jr. He also leaves these special people in his life, guardian, Bob Dawson; girlfriend, Kailey Geno; and friends, Landon Shelby, and Mason Buckley.
