Burns Anthony Rentrop Jr., 64, a resident of Bayou L’Ourse passed away peacefully, Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Burns was born April 13, 1961, in Franklin, the son of Burns Anthony Rentrop Sr. and Catherine Hebert Amos.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 27 years, Darlene Leonard Rentrop; five children, Harley Rentrop, Ginger Scully and husband Anthony, Gwendolyn Annalora, Michael Leonard, Burns Rentrop III; ten grandchildren, Skylar, Titan, Trey, Bayli, Anthony III, Phoenix, Letty, Cheyenne, Nyla, Bryla; father, Burns Rentrop Sr.; brother, Kurt Rentrop
Burns was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Amos and grandson, Michael Guidry.
A passionate man, Burns found joy in his career in demolition work, a profession he thoroughly enjoyed and often bragged about operating equipment and machinery. Known for his work ethic, he also enjoyed collecting scrap as a side venture, taking pride in transforming the old into something someone may need. If you needed it Burns had it. Outside of work, he was a devoted biker, who cherished his Harley Davidson. Therefore, naming his youngest daughter Harley. Burns loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Sky, and spoiled his wife.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
