Byron Braner Obituary
Byron E. Braner, 92, formerly of Rochester, IL. passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Concordia Village in Springfield, IL. He was born on July 26, 1930, the son of Fred and Ada Braner of Rochester, IL. He married Jeaneen Meyers on December 30, 1961 in Springfield. They had one child, Angela Dee Braner, born July 24, 1966. Angela preceded him in death on May 22, 2005. His wife preceded him in death on April 8, 2020.
Byron was a graduate of Rochester Grade and High School. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rochester. He farmed in the Rochester area and worked for the Department of Transportation for 22 years. He enjoyed riding his Harley and snowmobiling with his friends, as well as traveling with his wife.
Surviving is his niece, Mary Carol "M.C" Braner; and nephews Eric and Keith Hart.
Services were held on June 27, 2023 at Rochester Cemetery.
