C C Hopf

C C Hopf, 74, long-time resident of Bridgeton Township's Upper Black Eddy, passed away at Doylestown Hospital on July 29, 2025.
C C was born Carmin Cocchiarello on August 16, 1950, the daughter of Carmela and Louis R Cocchiarello, and grew up in Nutley, NJ. She had an early interest in healing and became a holistic alternative health care provider, leading a life of service to others. CC had a close relationship with the members of the Lenape tribe and was named an honorary medicine woman by them. She was a long-time member of the Bridgeton Township Planning Commission, serving as its Chair for many years, and also served a number of years on the Advisory Council of the Bucks County Area Agency on Aging. She cared deeply for the natural world, most especially the local area in which she lived. In addition to serving on the township Planning Commission, she was a former board of trustees member of the Delaware River Greenway Partnership, was actively involved with the Lower Delaware Wild & Scenic River Management Council and was a member of the Lehigh Valley Kayak and Canoe Club. Joining the Lehigh Valley chapter of Team River Runners offered her the perfect way to combine her passions for health, for nature, and for serving others. She was instrumental in obtaining grant funds to make the Tohickon boat access site handicapped accessible at Lake Nockamixon. In the 1990s, she was a founding member of the Bucks County Citizens for Quality Education and the Palisades Community Library committees. Bringing a community library to Upper Bucks County was a longtime dream of hers which has yet to be realized.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Hopf was preceded in death by her sister, Luann Cocchiarello, her husband, Christopher L Hopf, and her step-son, Michael Christopher Hopf. She is survived by her sister, Gina Corbosiero, her brother, Pasqual Cocchiarello, an uncle, Nino Cocchiarello, and her step-daughter, Michelle Hopf.
