Obituary of C.John Pearson
C. John Pearson Sr. age 77 of Solon Springs, WI, passed away at home on December 9th, 2023, with loved ones by his side from AML Cancer. John is now in Heaven with God, family, and friends. John was born on November 30th, 1946, to Frank and Helen Pearson.
John was married to the love of his life Jo-Ann Pearson in 1992. They met at Barker's Island "Music in the Park" 33 years ago and have been together every day since.
John was a Vet in the Army 1966-1969 where he received his GED and became a certified welder. He then went on to work at Fraser shipyard, was a truck driver for Halvor lines and then finally worked many years with the Boiler Maker Union 107 until he retired in 2007. After a few years both John and Jo-Ann volunteered for the North Country Trail from 2011-2020
John had made many memories with his wife Jo-Ann, his children Shawnette Foix (Arthur Carre), Gail Thiel (Fred), C. John Pearson Jr (Terra), Chris Hansen (Nicole), Brian Hansen (Adriana), grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews, and friends all over the United States. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, berry picking, hiking, traveling in the RV and working on the trail where he received the NCTA Trail Maintainer award in 2011 and the NCTA Distinguished Service Award in 2023.
John is proceeded in death by his granddaughter (Gail), his mother Helen (Hammond)Pearson, Father Frank Pearson Sr. Brother Frank Pearson Jr., Brother Donald Ewing, Sister Barb Wisnieski, sister Ethel Arndt, granddaughter DeeAnna Crist (Shawnette), Niece Sandra Pearson, many other family members and friends.
John is survived by his loving wife Jo-Ann Pearson their 5 children Shawnette Foix (Arite Carie) her 4 children Devin Pearson, Marques Foix, David Foix, Gail Thiel (Fred), and her 3 children and grandchildren Curtis Korn (Erica) their 3 children Jaxson, Hunter and Chaslyn, Kyimeny Kromer (Shane) their 2 children Evelyn and expecting baby, C. John Pearson Jr. (Terra) and their 2 children Taylor and Carter, Brian Hansen (Adriana) and their 2 children Mathew and Gabriella, Chris Hansen (Nicole) with their 3 children Andrew, Savannah and Lily. Brother Ray Pearson (Donna), Niece Patti Freymuth (Rick), Niece Terri Ebben, Niece Michelle Shipley, Niece Paula Pearson, many other nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life will be held at VIP (Vintage Italian Pizza) 1201 Tower Avenue, Superior, WI 54880 on December 23rd, 2023 from 12:30 until 4:00 pm.
