Calaab Kirby Obituary

Mr. Calaab Heath Kirby, age 33, of 604 Toney Rd., Union, passed away, Monday, May 1, 2023.
Calaab was born June 14, 1989 in Spartanburg, a son of Susan Roberts Brewington and husband Fuzz of Union and Michael Todd Kirby and wife Ines of Jonesville. He was a graduate of Union County High School. Calaab was a disabled Veteran of the United States Army having served with the 82nd Airborne in Afghanistan. He was formerly employed with Vic Bailey Honda and had worked construction with E.S. Wagner. Calaab was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was also a member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a son, Chase Kirby of Spartanburg; four sisters, Erika Song and husband Kang of Union, Issy Mangum of Union, Malena Kirby of Jonesville, and Ali Araya and husband David of Costa Rica; five brothers, Tyler Kirby and wife Brianna of San Antonio, TX, Jerimey Kirby of Charlotte, Michael Brewington and wife Chasity of Roebuck, Kevin Brewington and wife Hannah of Union, and Juan Araya of Costa Rica; his maternal grandmother, Bernice Roberts of Union; his paternal grandmothers, Barbara Kirby of Jonesville and Wanda Kirby of Gaffney; and his girlfriend, Kayla Daves and her children, Noah, Sterling, and Jaxon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Coleman Roberts; his paternal grandfather, Bobby Kirby, Sr.; and an infant brother, Michael Todd Kirby, Jr.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by President Bob Grudzien.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM prior to the services at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Tunnels to Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY, 10306.
The family is at the home, 604 Toney Rd., Union and at 150 Littlefield St. Ext., Jonesville.
