Obituary published on Legacy.com by Powell Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Bald Knob on May 3, 2024.
Our beloved Caleb Trent McBride entered Heaven's gates, joining his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at the age of 30.
Born on March 27, 1994, in
Searcy, Arkansas, to Laura Michelle McBride and Barry Samuel McBride, Caleb lit up every room he entered with his quick wit and infectious humor.
Caleb played many roles, including son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, friend, and, most recently, Uncle "Cdawg Millionaire," but his most devoted and cherished role was father to his son, Connor! Whether he was cracking jokes, reeling in the big catch, or belting out tunes, Caleb's zest for life was contagious.
Graduating Bald Knob High School, Class of 2012, his athletic prowess shone brightly on the Bulldogs State semi-finalist team. A true sports enthusiast, Caleb could often be found cheering on his favorite team or debating the latest game stats with friends.
From an early age, Caleb loved fishing and hunting with family and friends. The cabin in
Rosie, Arkansas, holds many fond memories for all.
Caleb started his work career while still in school during the summers as a member of the well-known " Janitorz" crew. After graduating, he worked at Bald Knob Lumber and Flowers Bakery. Later, he was a laborer at Associated Pipeline Contractors and most recently, a Laminator Assistant Operator at Bryce Corporation.
Caleb was saved and baptized at Liberty Valley Missionary Baptist Church, where he lifted his well-loved voice to the Lord. His kindness and warmth touched the lives of many.
Caleb had a talent for making people laugh and a gift for finding humor in every situation. With a heart as big as his laughter, he will be deeply missed but never forgotten. In every joke shared and smile exchanged, his spirit lives on, reminding us to find joy in the simplest of moments. Rest easy, Caleb, and keep the heavens laughing.
Caleb was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Shelia Gaskin, and his paternal grandfather, Samuel McBride.
Caleb is survived by his fiancé, Halie Nelson; his precious son, Connor Samuel McBride; his mother, Michelle (Gaskin) McBride; his father, Barry (Cynthia) McBride; his sister, Micaila McBride; his brother, Colbe (Maggie) McBride; his nephew, Beau McBride; his maternal grandfather, James (Carolyn) Gaskin; his paternal grandmother, Nola McBride; his bonus grandfather, Archie Davis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
