Roxanne Johnson, known by her friends and family as "Rocky", resident of Plainview, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Unity Health-White County Medical Center of Searcy at the age of 76. Rocky was born in McCrory on November 14, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Cynthia Louise (Skinner) McGlothlin.
Ms. Rocky was a graduate of Bald Knob High School and was of Christian faith. She retired in the nursing field after 25 years in Madera, California. In her earlier years you would find her doing puzzles, watching westerns, playing casino games, bird watching, and taking care of her house plants. She enjoyed family and friends and would help anyone in time of need.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Johnson; two brothers, Bob Priest and Bub McGlothlin; two sisters, Hazel McGlothlin and Cynthia Carter (McGlothlin); her son, Randy Wayne Elliott.
Rocky is survived by one son, Lonnie Elliott and wife, Teresa of Copperopolis, California; her grandchildren, Ashley Elliott, Joshua Elliott, Mack Elliott, Aaron Elliott and Nicholas Elliott; great-grandchildren, Adam, Ashton, Bryson, Landon, Aubrey, Casen, Myles, Paisely, Lexi and Bryson Elliott; two sisters, Donna Smith of Kensett, AR and Artie Gaskin and husband, Luke of Spring Lake, Michigan; three brothers, Pat McGlothlin and wife, Brenda of Bald Knob, AR, Danny McGlothlin and wife, Linda of Bradford, AR, David McGlothlin of Georgia. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, beginning at 1:00pm, both being held at Powell Funeral Home of Bradford. Interment will follow at Smith Cemetery, Bradford, Arkansas.
Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Bradford.
