AFFECTIONATELY KNOWN AS "Jonesey"
Calvert L. Jones was born January 10, 1944. He passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024 in Mobile, AL. Jonesey led a fulfilling life marked by a successful career and a love for the outdoors.
Jonesey was the beloved husband of Yvonne Jones, with whom he shared nearly sixty years of marriage. A devoted father to his son, Christopher Jones.
His life was further enriched by his close relationships with his nieces: Sandra (Kenny) Davis, Vanessa Sewell-Eddie; and his nephew: Sammy (Sheila) David and Charles (Erica) Timmons; along with many other cherished nieces, great-nieces and nephews. His community of dear friends and neighbors will also feel his absence deeply.
He was preceded in death by several brothers, sisters and other family and friends.
Professionally, Jonesey was known for his entrepreneurial spirit, having run a successful plumbing business for many years, which served his community with dedication and excellence.
Jonesey's hobbies included fishing, landscaping and activities that not only brought him immense joy but also allowed him to stay connected with his community.
His life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, as a pillar of the community, a loving family man and a passionate outdoorsman.
