Calvin Eugene Greene, 89, of Stanfield, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate in Charlotte, NC.  Cal died of complications following traumatic brain injury.
 
Calvin was born September 13, 1934, in Mt. Holly, North Carolina to the late Worley Henderson Greene and the late Virginia Mays Greene.
 
Cal was a Marine during the Korean War, a 60-year member of the Shriners, and past captain of the Keystone Kops.  Cal was employed by AT&T for 35 years and McCall’s Water Drilling Company for 20 years.  At the age of 84, Cal was a driver for Knapheide, Midland, NC.  He sang bass in the Love’s Grove Methodist church where he was a member for 24 years.   
 
Cal is survived by his wife, Dianne Hentschel Greene of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Kim Morgan Greene and Stephanie Greene Revels; stepdaughters, Traci Cleiland Maynard and Tori (Leon) Cleiland.  Cal was a loving grandfather to Megan Revels, Matt (Jackie) Revels, Madison Revels; Morgan DiFonzo; Banks Maynard, Emerson Maynard, Anna Willis and Eliza Willis; great-grandchildren Sofia Revels and Luke Revels.
 
A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Love's Grove Methodist Church in Stanfield officiated by Rev. Jim White. 

The family will greet friends in the Fellowship Hall prior to the service. 
 
Memorial donations can be made to Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate, 3211 Bishops Way Lane, Suite 1000, Charlotte, NC 28215.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland.
