Calvin Leon Trent, age 66, of Lockwood, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

Born in Lockwood to Melba (Cooper) and Howard Trent, Calvin remained deeply rooted in his hometown throughout most of his life. A hardworking and kind-hearted man, Calvin found joy in the simple things—he enjoyed doing lawn work, landscaping, and helping others with odd jobs.

Calvin had a deep love for the outdoors. He spent many peaceful hours fishing, deer hunting, and simply enjoying nature. His love for animals was well known—he raised dogs, chickens, and goats, and had a special bond with a pet goat named Stomper, who was a particular favorite.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Trent of Lamar, MO; daughter Connie Trent of Lamar, MO; son, Willis Trent of Lamar, MO; and brother, Glen Trent of Lockwood, MO. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Kay Sparks of Lamar, MO and May Fleetwood of Aurora, MO; brothers-in-law Richard Sparks and Louis Sparks, both of Lamar, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews who will remember him with love.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved daughter Peggy Kinsey, his brothers James 'Jimmy" Trent and Danny D. Trent, and his mother-in-law, Martha Sparks.

Calvin will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love for the land and animals, and the quiet strength he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will have private services at a later date.

in lieu of flowers the family would appreciate assistance with the final expenses.
