Camellia Sue Pearson

Funeral Services for Camellia Sue Pearson, age 81, of Carriere, MS, who passed away Friday, August 15, 2025, will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 3:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Union Baptist Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Brother Danny Roy Johnson will officiate the service.

A native of Pearl River County, MS, she began working as a young teen at Walkers's Five and Dime Store, as an assistant at the candy counter. Sue owned McNeill Truck Stop, Hilda's Cafe, and The Round Table; she also managed the McNeill Travel Center. Sue treasured the friendships which she made while operating her businesses. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. Sue had a generous heart and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Gordon Alsobrooks, Sr. and Rosalie Coleman Alsobrooks; her husband, Winston Pearson; stepsons, Keith Pearson and Kerry Seal; brothers, Ollie Alsobrooks, Jr., Sonny Alsobrooks, Rufus Alsobrooks, and Roger Alsobrooks; sisters, Olivia Jones, Lily Jean Foote, Violet Whitfield, Glory Ann Alsobrooks, Jimmie Fern Westbrook, and Daisy Lee McCaskell.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Johnnie Faye Crocker, and Joy (Bruce) Voiselle, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.

Sue's family would like to thank the staff of Bedford Care Center for their loving care and friendships.
