Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Bro. Randy Shaw and Bro. Andy Mills will officiate at the service.
A native of Eight Mile, AL, he was a merchant seaman and a member of First Baptist Church of Nicholson. Buddy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era.
He was preceded in death by parents, James R. Brinks, Sr. and Mary Louise Tillman Purser; his daughter, Elaine Lumpkin; his brother, William Brinks; and his daughter-in-law, Lori Mills.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Erma Jean Haden Brinks; his sons, William (Francis) Mills and Arnie Mills; his daughters, Barbara Jean (Lawrence) Wilbanks and Becky (Richard) Reed; his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his son-in-law, Mark Lumpkin; and his cousins, Ray (Judy) Hall and Diane Garretson, both of Mobile, AL.
