Cameron Doaks Obituary
Cameron Devon Doaks, known affectionally to his family and friends as "Cool Cam," was born on March 25, 1999, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Despite his youthful years, Cameron was often described as an old soul. His passion for conversation and his ability to connect with people of all walks of life were testament to his maturity and wisdom beyond his years. He lived a life that was as charming and engaging as his conversations, a life that truly made a difference to those around him. Cameron carried his love for dialogue into his work as a Warehouse Associate at Amazon, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.
Cameron's accomplishments extended beyond his professional life. He was a proud graduate of Ben Davis High School and Vincennes University. His faith played a significant role in his life, with his spiritual journey beginning at Pentecostal Cathedral C.O.G.I.C., and later continuing at New Life Fellowship Ministry under the leadership of Apostle Charles E. and Prophetess Betty Harris. In his life and through his faith, Cameron embodied the scripture, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters" (Colossians 3:23).
Cameron is survived by his parents, Cedric Sr. and Kimberly Doaks, his brother Cedric (C.J) Doaks, his grandparents John and Myrtle Doaks, Sheila affectionately known as "Mama" and Tommy Stokes, and his Great Grandmothers Catherine Williams and JoAnn Hill. An uncle to Tatum and Talia. He also leaves behind his aunts Celeste (Karl) Doaks-Henzy, Breyona Dennis, and Keiyona (Al) Murray, his uncles Tommy Stokes, Tony (Tierra) Stokes, E'lan Stokes. Cousins Adrian Dennis, Jr., Taylor Dennis, Davon Woods, Marquis Jefferson, Braylon Pippin, A'Zara Dennis, Hasante' Parker, Cassius Stokes, Tamariss Stokes, and Tareema Stokes. His God Mother and Aunt Kathy "Kabby" Kirkendoll and numerous other relatives and friends.
Cameron was preceded in death by his Great Grand Parents Deacon Willie Williams, Larry Hill, and Charlie and Marie Sansone, and a first cousin Brandon Dennis.
A Celebration of Cameron's life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 11:00 am EST at the Pentecostal Cathedral COGIC, located at 1025 West Western Avenue, South Bend, Indiana. Friends may visit with the family an hour prior. Apostle Charles E. Harris will bring the word. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Cameron's life and sharing the stories that made him the unique individual that we will always remember. We encourage you to leave your precious memories, upload photos, and share the moments that made Cameron special to you on his memorial page.
