Kenneth Doaks Obituary

Kenneth Karl Doaks Sr. was born in South Bend, Indiana on December 21, 1953, to Leon and Lucy Mae Fisher Doaks; He entered his final rest on January 16, 2023. Kenneth accepted Christ at an early age; he was a member of Reynoldsburg Community Church, Columbus, Ohio. He was employed at the Community Housing Network (CHN) in Columbus, Ohio, and took much pride in his work -- always doing his best! Kenneth earned consecutive, monthly awards for the 'Maintenance Man of the Month"; he was CHN's Covid-19 video promotion talent and is featured in Community Housing Network's 2023 E-Newsletter. Kenneth spent some of his leisure time fishing with his brother, Dennis, and playing/caring for his dogs, Blue and Mariah.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his, father, mother and brothers, Stanley, Michael, and Keith Doaks.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his son, Kenneth Karl Doaks, Jr., South Bend, IN, daughter, Irena M. King, Dallas, Texas; brothers, Randall Doaks, Norfolk, Virginia, Dennis (Mia) Doaks, Reynoldsburg, Ohio; sisters; Delores Moore, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Darlyn Johnson, Columbus, Ohio, Denise Doaks, South Bend, Indiana, Donna Shively, Westerville, Ohio; aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
"For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39

Kenneth was my co-worker. We would laugh and talk about different issues and always remind each other that in the midst of it all...God is still good and he wouldn't put more on us than we can bare. To Kenneth's family...thank you for sharing this bright light with us. He was such a treasure!

I knew Kenneth from work, but we rarely talked about work! We shared a love for the outdoors, and he would often tell me about his favorite fishing spots or he'd talk about how much he enjoyed walking his dogs when the weather was nice. I'll miss him, but I'm thankful for the conversations we've shared. Condolences to his family and friends.

Kenneth was my coworker at CHN, We would chat when ever we crossed paths during our busy day. He was a sweet soul! very kind and friendly man! I am going to miss seeing him around work and talking with him . My condolences to his family!

My sincere condolences to the Doaks family. Kenny was like a brother to me. What I love most about Kenny was his heart and his consistency to love in spite of how anyone felt about him. I never heard you judge anyone. Kenny was "real" and will be forever missed. I pray Kenny that you are resting peacefully with the Lord.
