With heavy hearts and a newfound appreciation of what we are missing, and will forever miss, we welcome you to this website which shall serve as a medium of remembrance and an announcement of the events that will offer an occasion for all who were touched by Cameron to gather in memory and celebration of his life.
Let's honor him together
With love,
The Labriola family
Cameron was born on February 14, 1994, to Lawrence and Judith Labriola. He was the youngest sibling to Kirk and Amber Labriola.
With an indescribably broken heart, we announce the passing of our beloved Cameron, on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024, at the age of 30. Born on Valentine's Day, February 14th, 1994, Cameron was always our "little love," bringing joy and warmth to everyone who knew him. Being the youngest child of three, he deeply connected to his older brother and sister, with all three siblings being only a year apart. Their closeness was a testament to Cameron's love of family, which he carried throughout his life.
As a child, Cameron was full of adventure. He had a love for animals, a passion for fishing that began at an early age, and a natural talent for soccer. His free spirit led him to explore nature through hiking. This later fueled his creativity through painting, woodwork, and an adeptness at crafting anything he put his mind to. Cameron was always inventing things-whether it was building a barbecue from scratch or crafting beautiful jewelry using magnets, which he loved working with-among other (i.e., really ANY) random objects he could get his hands on. Throughout his entire life, he astonished those around him with his natural sense of artistic adeptness. His artistic side shone through not only in his creations but also in the thoughtfulness he put into every gift he gave. Cameron was an extraordinarily thoughtful gift giver, always considering the person and choosing something special just for them.
Cameron had a deep love for food and could eat like a "bottomless pit." He enjoyed cooking and sharing many meals, especially during the COVID lockdown, when he would spend hours watching movies and creating art with his mother. His favorite dessert was Spumoni ice cream. One of his favorite pastimes was walking around the island with close family and friends, often ending up on a fishing trip. As his mother shared, a cherished recent memory was when Cameron took her out on his paddleboard at night in Dana Point, where they went fishing together under the stars.
Cameron held a deep love for his cat T-Wiggs who he had since he was born and brought around with him everywhere.
His love for spirited debate, especially about politics, revealed his sharp intellect and rebellious streak, making him our "rebel without a cause." Cameron's ability to connect with others was remarkable; he made friends easily and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Together, he built a business with his mother, sharing countless dreams and goals, the memories of which will surely remain a cherished part of her heart. His adventurous nature extended to the open road, where he found freedom riding his motorcycle.
Cameron will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him. His passing leaves an unfillable hole in our hearts, but his spirit will live on in the stories, laughter, and love he shared with us all.
With a heart that refused to follow the rules, Cameron lived boldly, on his own terms. He was free, fearless, and always ready for an adventure.
This is what brought him joy everyday.
You are warmly invited to join us in celebrating the life of a truly free spirit who made his own path in the world. There are going to be three events. Please feel free to join us for each, or any, of the following:
(1) A "Spreading of the Ashes" memorial service at sea;
