Camille "Terry" Demperio

Camille "Terry" (Sardona) Demperio, 82, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on August 26, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born July 31, 1943, to the late Carlo and Angie (Leo) Sardona in Syracuse, NY.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond in 2024; and granddaughter, Jennifer Demperio in 2025.
Camille is survived by her stepdaughter, Deborah Demperio; her grandchildren, Derek (Brittnee) Demperio, Jason (Rusa) Klink, Michael (Sarah) Demperio, Edward Dumas; great-grandchildren, Willow Demperio, Lillie Demperio, Colton Demperio, Alexandria Ruzekowciz, Jack Demperio, Ryan Demperio, and Rozalynne Dumas. She will also be greatly missed by her loyal dog Ginger who was never far from her side.
As a youth, Camille attended St. Anthony's Covenant for girls where her strong faith was developed and later shared with her family. She went on to have a long career at General Electric, but the world of beauty is where she would make her indelible mark. Camille earned a beautician license and eventually transitioned into dog grooming, founding Terry's Dog Grooming in Camillus, NY. For over 40 years she served her loyal customers until her retirement in August. She was truly touched by the overwhelming support her customers showed her the last several months.
During her journey through life Camille met her husband Raymond and eagerly took on the role of becoming a grandmother. Together, they hand-built a home they would later selflessly raise those grandchildren in and a camp they would visit to share their passion for the outdoors and fishing. Many memories were made in the home and camp which was always filled with love, laughter, and the smell of Camille's authentic Italian cooking.
Though we mourn her passing, we are incredibly grateful for the love and devotion our grandmother showed to us throughout her life. We love you grandma and are happy that you and grandpa are together again; probably out fishing.
A funeral mass for Camille will be held on Thursday, September 11th at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church on the hill in Camillus, NY. She will be laid to rest at Assumption Cemetery immediately following the mass. A celebration in her honor for her family and friends will be provided after the burial.
