MONTIE, Candice E. - age 55 of Fenton, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 6, 2025 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St., Fenton. Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 PM until the time of service at church with a reception to follow. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Candice was born March 3, 1970 in Southfield, the daughter of Robert and Linda (Robinson) Schoenberg. She was a 1988 graduate of Clarenceville High School in Livonia. She then earned her bachelor's degree in Human Resources from Baker College. Candice was united in marriage to Dennis R. Montie on March 24, 2007 in Milford. She was a longtime financial planner who owned, operated and was President of Candice Montie Investment Strategies, LLC in Fenton for over 17 years. Candice was not only successful, she had a great passion for people and life. She strived to make impact in her community and was a member of the Zonta Club of Fenton, Morris Peterson Foundation, YWCA of Flint, Fenton Chamber of Commerce, and the Fenton United Methodist Church. Candice was also the author of "Gaining Control For Your Success"! Candice built a beautiful life and was the center of her family. She adored her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed camping and trips to Florida. She loved bird watching, sea turtles, and her beloved dogs Greta and Bart.
Surviving are: her husband, Dennis; five children, Rebecca (Joshua) Fritz, Regina (Jacob) Evick, Rachel (Phillipe) Morin, Brendan Montie, Dylan Montie; four grandchildren, Owen, Ophelia, Lillian, Daniel; her mother, Linda Schoenberg; five siblings, Cynthia, Erik, Quinn, Robert, Barb; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Schoenberg; first husband, Daniel Siekierski; and brother, Robert Schoenberg. Tributes may be made at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
