Candice A. Snopek, affectionately known as Kandi, departed from this world on March 12, 2024, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was 78 years old. Kandi was born on June 26th, 1945, in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois.
Kandi's journey was marked by a dedication to learning and service. She pursued her education with vigor, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Radiology. Her commitment to excellence shone brightly throughout her career at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and Froedtert Hospital, where she provided compassionate care to all those entrusted to her.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kandi embraced life with a zest for adventure and connection. She found joy and companionship as an active member of the Red Hat Ladies group, treasuring the laughter and camaraderie they shared. Kandi's creative spirit flourished through her hobbies, including doll making, quilting, "Glamping," and the culinary arts, where her delicious creations brought people together.
Known for her strength, kindness, and boundless generosity, Kandi touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. Her infectious laughter and unwavering support were a source of comfort and inspiration to her family and friends.
Kandi leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. She is survived by her devoted son, Mark T. Lepkowski, and daughter-in-law, Amanda, as well as her cherished granddaughter, Kaley Kainz (Nick). Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Jeffrey Snopek.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore J. Snopek and Stephanie (nee Szczepaniak) Snopek, and her brother, Greg Snopek.
A celebration of Kandi's life will be held to honor her memory and the indelible mark she left on the lives of those around on March 22, 2024 at Cesarz, Charapata & ZInnecker Funeral Home (237 N. Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188). With Visitation beginning at 2:00pm and going until the start of services at 4:00pm.
In the stories shared and the memories cherished, Kandi's spirit will continue to shine brightly, bringing solace and inspiration to all who were privileged to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
