Candy Sue Robison, 66, of Scottsburg, Indiana, departed this life on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Indiana. Born on March 24, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the cherished daughter of the late Ernest Junior McNicol and Helen Lea (Woodall) McNicol.

Candy's spirit was a beacon of warmth and affection, touching the lives of all who knew her. She was a happy, loving, and caring individual whose presence was a comfort and delight to many. Her final moments were spent as she had lived, surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories.

A woman of many passions, Candy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved karaoke. Her love for the thrill of the Casino was matched only by her love for her family and friends, with whom she shared countless precious moments. Candy also found peace and happiness in the natural beauty of Delany Creek Park.

Candy's memory will be forever held in the hearts of her beloved daughter, Chasity Renea "Bates" Engle of Austin, Indiana. She is also survived by her fiance', John Gibson of North Vernon, Indiana, siblings: Steven Lee (Patricia) McNicol of Ocala, FL; JoAnn Lea Underhill of Scottsburg, Indiana; Cindy Priddy of Pekin, Indiana; and Wanda Sue McNicol of Scottsburg, Indiana. Her life's joy was further multiplied by her cherished grandchildren, D'artagnan (Tabatha) Engle, Christopher (Marie) Bates, Aaron Engle, and Ethan Lee, as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Engle, Memphis and Magnolia Bates, and Cayden Bates and several nieces and nephews.

Candy was preceded in death by her two sons, Christopher Wayne Bates and Coby William Bates.

In accordance with Candy's wishes, a direct cremation was chosen. While no services are to be held, her life will be commemorated in the hearts of her family and friends.
