It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cara Butterworth, who left us peacefully on January 23, 2025, at the age of 47. Cara was a loving soul with a special gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, and her warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
Cara had a deep love for her family, especially her daughter, Carleigh Butterworth, who was her world. She was a cherished daughter to her mother, Pamela Butterworth, and was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Butterworth. She is survived by her sisters, Corinne and Candace (and Candace’s wife, Ashley Bowers), along with her beloved nieces and nephews: Jordan, Jarod, Aidan, Andi, and Hayden.
Music was one of Cara’s greatest passions, and it was a constant source of joy and comfort in her life. Whether dancing to her favorite tunes or sharing her love for music with others, Cara’s vibrant energy was contagious. She was the life of every party, lighting up every room with her spirit and laughter. Always the first to offer a helping hand, she would never hesitate to assist a stranger in need, showing the depth of her compassion for others.
In her free time, Cara found peace and joy at the beach, a place that always brought her solace. A true free spirit, she embraced life with an open heart and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A private family memorial will be held to honor her life. A public celebration of Cara’s life will take place at a later date, with details to follow.
Cara’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
