Carallene Sue Brummett

Carallene Sue Brummett, of London, Kentucky, was born on August 17, 1947, in Hamilton, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Kalup Johnson and Cherry Crook Johnson. She was united in marriage to Frank Arnold Brummett, who preceded her in death.

Sue is survived by her three beloved children, Pam Brummett and Rocky Brummett, both of London, and Kim Anderkin and husband Bryan of Corbin, Kentucky; one brother, Darrell Hubbard and wife Flo of Corbin; two cherished grandchildren, Brooke Brummett and Austin Brummett and wife Caity; and two precious great-grandchildren, Cara and Wyatt Brummett. She also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will forever treasure her memory.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two children, Danny Dale Brummett and Sarah Diane Brummett; a grandson, Caleb Morgan; and six siblings, Tammy Hubbard, Tina Bradley, Farrell Johnson, Gary Johnson, Bobby Johnson, and Connie Johnson.

Sue devoted her life to caring for her family, always offering a gentle hand, a listening ear, and an open heart. She especially adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A faithful and devoted Christian, she served her church for more than 50 years, teaching Sunday school and leading worship with a humble spirit and steadfast love for the Lord.

On Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the age of 78 years, 3 months, and 6 days, Carallene Sue Brummett peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Her legacy of faith, love, and compassion will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who knew her.

The graveside service for Carallene Sue Brummett will be conducted at 10 am Wednesday at the Brummett Cemetery in London.
