Carey James Partridge January 22, 1962 – October 26, 2025
Carey James Partridge, 63, of Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away on October 26, 2025. He was born on January 22, 1962, in Adrian, Michigan, to the late Arnold ("Butch") Partridge, Wilma "Jean" Partridge, and Karen Partridge.
Carey spent his life working hard and living true to his no-nonsense, straightforward, and sensible nature. After earning his high school diploma, he began a long and successful career as an over-the-road truck driver and factory worker. His dedication and skill behind the wheel earned him numerous awards, including "Trucker/Driver of the Year." Carey also served as President of The Eagles Club in Dade City, where he made lasting friendships and contributed to his community.
Outside of work, Carey enjoyed golf, dancing, fishing, hunting, and listening to music. He loved spending time with his loved ones and could often be found sharing stories or offering practical advice with his signature sense of focus and good humor.
He is survived by his significant other, Nancy Johnson of Zephyrhills, FL; his children, Edwin (Natalie) of Jacksonville, NC, and Katie (John) of Beulaville, NC; Eric of Yuma, AZ; and his grandchildren, Madison and Colin. Carey is also survived by his siblings, Chris (Debora), Butch (Hila), and Penny (Tsugi), as well as his beloved cat, Tigger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Wilma Partridge, and his sister, Cindy Jones.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, Florida.
Carey will be remembered as a hardworking, kind-hearted man who lived with purpose and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
