Tina Marie Burns September 15, 1955 – October 19, 2025
Tina Marie Burns, age 70, of Goldsboro, North Carolina, passed away on October 19, 2025, in Goldsboro.
Tina was born on September 15, 1955, in Roscommon, Michigan, to Eugene Edwin Burns and Lillian Pauline Burns. She grew up alongside her siblings Paul Burns, Jewel Burns, Nancy Burns, Bruce Burns, Pam Burns, and Tom Burns.
Tina attended high school and went on to become a Notary Public. Throughout her life, she worked in many roles, including as a waitress, CNA, and in home repair. She was retired at the time of her passing. Over the years, she made homes in Michigan, Florida, Texas, and North Carolina.
Tina loved riding horses and spending time with her dogs. She found joy in family gatherings, feeding birds, and watching hummingbirds in her yard. She will be remembered for her heart of gold and her willingness to help others. Her proudest achievement in life was her daughter, and her grandson Brandon
Tina is survived by her daughter, Christy Garza, and son-in-law, Felipe Garza of Dade City, Florida; grandchildren Christina, Melissa, Angelica, Brendan, Summer, Andrew, David, and Brandon; and great-grandchildren Easton, Amaryllis, and Kaydelya. She is also survived by her siblings Brenda Helsel, Jewel Burns, Nancy Parker, Bruce Burns, Pam Reinke, and Tom Burns, as well as her beloved pets, MeMe and Bud.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Burns, and her parents Eugene and Lillian Burns.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, Florida. Visitation will take place at the same location and time. Interment will follow at Dade City Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hodges Family Funeral Home, Dade City, Florida.
