Carl Anderson, age 82, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, at the Bay Pines VA Hospital following a heart attack.

Born on April 9, 1943, in Port Clinton, Ohio, Carl was the son of the late Ralph and Agnes (Fastzkie) Anderson. On July 28, 1990, he married the love of his life, JoAnnette Hilton (LeGros). Together, they shared many years of love, laughter, and devotion until her passing.

Carl proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from January 1962 to December 1965. He was part of the 29th Munitions Maintenance Squadron (SAC) and later served with the 19th Bomb Wing, dedicating himself to excellence and duty throughout his military service.

After his time in the Air Force, Carl continued to live a life filled with creativity and community. He was an active member of the American Kitefliers Association, where he was affectionately known as "Gumby." As a member of the Black Swamp Air Force Kite Club, Carl found joy in designing, building, and flying fighter kites-an expression of both his artistry and adventurous spirit.

Carl will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Craig, Bob, and Mike Anderson, and by all who were fortunate to know him. His kind heart, steady presence, and love for the skies he filled with his kites will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, JoAnnette LeGros.

Carl's life was one of service, creativity, and quiet strength-a legacy that continues to lift those he loved, much like the kites he so cherished.
