Carl Eugene Ayers, 85, of Spencerport, NY passed away peacefully on December 13th, 2025. Born on September 20th, 1940 to Gertrude and Walter Ayers he grew up in Bolivar, NY. He was predeceased by his sister, Betty Walton and is survived by his sister, Carla Shaffer. A proud veteran, Carl served in the U.S. Army in the early 1960s before working at Kodak as a master toolmaker. He then taught Exploratory Aviation at Edison Tech.

Carl married Linda Cady on December 5th, 1964. They made their home in Spencerport, NY where they raised their three children, Yvonne M. Ayers Landes (Jeff), Mickie I. Ayers Visco (Mark), and Jerry D. Ayers (Pelle). They had eight grandchildren, Savannah (Shane), Cassie (CJ), Joe (Kirsten), Nicole (Corey), Jason (Simran), Justin (Maddie), Megan (Will), and Andrew (Alianna) and 15 great grandchildren. He also had several nieces and nephews. Carl lost his loving wife, Linda, on December 10th, 2005. He found love again and married Francis Phillips on August 14, 2016. He gained a step-daughter, Diana (Scott), two step-granddaughters, Ella and Madison, and additional family members. Francis passed away on September 11th, 2021.

Carl lived a life marked by curiosity, laughter, and adventure. He enjoyed camping, fishing, flying his plane, snowmobiling, and socializing. Carl was involved in the American Legion, Salmon Creek snowmobile club, and the Elks Lodge 2110. He had a tremendous sense of humor. Carl’s “gift of gab” allowed him to make friends wherever he went. His signature was a smiley face“ and he often said “I be good.” Memorial Service will begin with Military Honors from the United States Army.
