DELPHOS – Carl M. Claybaugh, age 83 of Delphos, passed away Tuesday February 17, 2026 at Vancrest Nursing Home, Van Wert.
He was born in Lima on February 18, 1942 to Thurman Claybaugh and Anne (Umble) Claybaugh, and they preceded him in death. On August 8, 1975 he married Patricia (Sutton) Claybaugh and she survives in Delphos, Oh.
He is survived by son, Jeff (Jackie) Claybaugh of Lima Oh.; step daughters, Sandy (Rick) Paul of Middlepoint Oh., Cindy Williamson of Ft. Wayne Ind., and Lisa (Greg) Dick of New Haven Ind.; stepson, Shawn (Jeni) Rafferty of Ft. Wayne Ind.; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Don Claybaugh.
Carl was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam era. After being discharged he went to work at Ford Motor Co. until his retirement. In retirement he and Patricia enjoyed traveling on their motorcycle and RV’ing. Carl was a member of the Goldwing Road Rider Assoc., L.A.R.K member, a Ham Radio operator, and a member of the UAW at Ford Motor Company.
It was his wish to be cremated with no public service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Weber Funeral Home.
