Carl Cornett

Carl Cornett, born on January 30, 1960, in Lebanon, Indiana, was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. He was the son of the late Robert Paul Cornett and Delia Maggard Cornett. Carl was united in marriage to Elizabeth Ann Buell Cornett, who preceded him in death. He departed this life on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the age of 65.

Carl is survived by his son, Shane Joe Cornett of London, Kentucky, and his step-son, Kyle Sturgill of London. He also leaves behind two brothers, Kenneth Wade Cornett of Lexington, Kentucky, and Paul Darren Cornett of Lily, Kentucky. His legacy continues through his four grandchildren, Megan Hall, DaKota Cornett, Logan Cornett, Shane Joe Cornett, Jr., and one great-grandchild, Bailey Lynn Hall, along with a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.

Carl was a master auto mechanic and a man of the Pentecostal Faith. He was known for his loving nature and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The graveside service for Carl Cornett will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, Kentucky, with Ronnie Doyle officiating.
