Carl Junior DETHERAGE

Carl Junior Detherage, one of sixteen children born to Robert H. and Jessie (Decker) Detherage, was born February 4, 1946, in the Oakland community, near Lebanon. He departed this life to enter his Heavenly home on October 26, 2025, at the age of seventy-nine years.

Carl accepted Christ at a young age and was diligent about reading God's word. He read at least one chapter of his Bible every morning. His faith was unwavering.

Carl was united in marriage with his forever love, Dorothy "Jean" Rogers on May 22, 1964. To this union was born two children, Diana Denise in 1965 and Bryan Leon in 1969. Prior to Carl's passing, he and Jean had shared sixty-one years of love and laughter, side by side.

Carl is survived by his wife, Jean; two children, Diana Henson of Richland, MO and Bryan Detherage (Susan) of Lebanon, MO; three grandchildren, Brandon (Angel) of Lebanon, Kasie (Matt) of Marshfield and Karlie (Daniel) also of Lebanon; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Virginia Little of Niangua and Bonnie Detherage of Marshfield; two brothers, Roger Detherage of Marshfield and Gary Detherage and his wife Eliza of Salt Lake City; three sisters-in-law, Donna, Alma and Faye Detherage; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Those preceding him in death include his parents; eight brothers; three sisters and his son-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to Oakland Cemetery.
