Mr. Carl Lerore Fisher Jr., 75, of Walkersville died Sunday August 10, 2025 at Frederick Health Hospital surrounded by family. He was the loving husband of Stephanie Lynn Pennycoff (Fisher), whom preceded him in death on October 3, 2020.

Born September 12, 1949 in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Carl Fisher Sr. and Dorthy Guyer (Fisher).

After graduating at Chambersburg High School, he joined the army to serve his country. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran. During his time in Vietnam, Carl met a local lady named Mia. They had a son together and named him Scott after one of his best friends back home. He was unable to bring them back to the USA and lost contact for many years. After returning from Vietnam, he met Stephanie and married on August 28, 1971. They had two sons, Carl III and Joseph. He continued with the Army until moving to the private sector working on Anaesthesia Equipment and Piped Medical Gas Systems. He started his own successful company in February 2001 where he remained until retirement.

Carl was avid golfer. He enjoyed playing any chance he got and went on many golf trips with his friends. He was also a fan of casinos, often playing throughout the night. He loved getting together with family and friends, whether it was a cook-out or a friendly game of cards. Carl also loved the beach and the water, and while he spent many years going to Rehoboth, Florida, and Myrtle Beach, he found Aruba later in life to be his favorite destination. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and friend to many. His gift for talking for hours was well known. He loved being around people.

In addition to his son, Joseph he is survived by two grandsons, Terry and Todd Nguyen, and additional family members, Michael Smith and Kim Nguyen. He was predeceased in death by his wife Stephanie Fisher, two sons, Carl & "Butchie" Fisher, III. and Scott Fisher, and his brother Terry Fisher.

A funeral service will be held on August 23 rd at 2:00pm at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Carl's name may be made to Homes For Our Troops.
