Carl D. Huston Jr.

AUBURN - Carl D. Huston, Jr., 69, of 162 Main Street, a lifelong resident of Lisbon Falls, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn, following a 5 year battle with cancer.
Carl was born on June 25, 1955, the son of Carl D. Huston, Sr. and Madelyn F. Huston (Ruby) He graduated from Lisbon High School, class of 1973 and graduated from CMVTI in 1975.
He married his wife, Sandra L. Huston (Gervais) September 30, 1977. Together they raised their son Christopher D. Huston of Lisbon Falls. Carl started working for his father's family owned business, Carl Huston Contractor at the age of 16 years and also worked for Norman Bulick Construction Co. He was a longtime member of Lisbon Solid Waste committee and Treasurer of Pejepscot Sno- Chiefs Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed stock car racing with his father and crew chief Larry Lachance from 1970 to 1978 in the Charger and later Sportsman's class at Oxford Plains Speedway. He took over the family excavation business when his father passed away in 2010 and continued the business with his son Christopher. He especially enjoyed his work, snowmobiling, going out to breakfast daily at the Fairground Cafe at the Topsham Fair Mall and spending time with family and friends. He was a generous and kind individual that was always willing to help others. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Besides his wife Sandra, he is survived by his son, Christopher D. Huston, sister Brenda L. Field and her husband James Field of Lisbon Falls, sister CarolAnne Hydle of Jacksonville, Fla., cousins and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by both of his parents Carl and Madelyn Huston of Lisbon Falls.
There will be a graveside service at Hillside Cemetery in Lisbon Falls on Friday May 16, 2025 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Andwell Hospice House, 15 Strawberry Avenue, Lewiston, Maine 04240.
