Carl Arneaz Johnson, born on November 27, 1973, in Fort Valley, Georgia, passed away on December 15, 2024, at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, Georgia, following a brief period of illness. He was a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, cherished by many for his vivacious spirit and kindness.

Carl dedicated his career as a licensed barber, a profession that allowed him to connect with people and build lasting relationships within his community. His love for cutting hair was matched only by his passion for cooking, drag racing, and fishing, activities he often shared with friends and family. His eagerness to serve and uplift those around him spoke volumes about his generous nature.

He received his education in the Taylor County public school system, which laid the foundation for his lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth. Carl's personality reflected his zest for life; he was full of energy and loved people, traits that endeared him to all who had the privilege to know him.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Ka’Neice Bembry, and his children: Lauren Johnson, Anntenisha Johnson, Jace Johnson, and Khazion Harris. He will also be deeply missed by his mother, Mable Johnson Burk, and father, Larry Johnson. His siblings include sisters Mable Burton and Latrisha Mathis, as well as brothers Larry Johnson, Jr. and Deandre (Chinequia) Johnson. Carl shared a close bond with his aunt, Barber Johnson Essiet, and uncles Gary Johnson, Gregory Johnson, and Charles Johnson. He is further survived by his mother-in-law, Catherine (Rev. Lewis) Burden, sister-in-law Aisha Bembry, and a host of nieces and nephews, including Catoria Dominique Burks, Beyoncé Turner, Kylie Johnson, Bethany Wilson, Kataleya Mathis, Kyngston Johnson, Deandre Johnson, and great nephew Kash Burk’s. Carl was also accompanied in life by his charming fur baby, Chique, who brought him immeasurable joy.

His funeral service will be held on December 21, 2024, at the Taylor County High School Auditorium in Butler, Georgia, beginning at 11:00 AM, with concluding services at 12:30 PM.

Carl Arneaz Johnson leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion that will forever resonate within the hearts of his family, friends, clients, and all who had the honor to be part of his life. He will be remembered for the joy he brought to others and the indelible mark he left on the world.
