Carl Liddell Johnson, 67, passed away on April 23, 2025 at the Uintah Basin Medical Center. He was an unwavering man of God
He was born June 6, 1957 in American Fork Utah to Harold Wesley and Betty Leona Liddell Johnson.
Carl’s love and devotion—to his beloved wife, Karen, and to his late wife, Jamela—were second to none. His presence filled every room, and now, he leaves behind a space in our hearts as large and lasting as he was.
His door was always open, and he never missed a chance to share a dad joke that could brighten your day.
Carl believed deeply in Christ and lived in a way that reflected Him. He bore no grudges, held no ill will, and chose kindness every time.
Though our hearts weren’t ready to say goodbye, Carl lived each day with quiet faith and gentle readiness—always prepared to return to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Mitterling Johnson; his children, Cody (Suzanne) Graham, Brad Johnson, Chad Johnson, Amber (Clinton) Williams, Alex Johnson, Jason (Sydney) Mitterling, Daniel (Rebecca) Johnson, Jessica Mitterling, Ashley (Anthony) Clark, and Kaci Mitterling. He is also lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren and even great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings, Phyllis Walton, Beverly (Thomas) Prestwich, Gwen (Alma) Davis, and Paul (Julie) Johnson.
Carl was preceded in death by his first wife, Jamela Johnson; his son, Justin Mitterling; his parents, Harold and Betty Johnson; and his brother-in-law Michael Walton.
