CARL GEORGE KELLER SR.
Carl George Keller Sr., 88, of Argyle passed away December 24, 2023 in his home surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born May 24,1935 in Deckerville to John and Eleanor Keller, Sr. He married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Gornowicz, on August 27, 1955 and enjoyed sixty-eight years together
He graduated from Cass City High School and was inducted into the United State Army. Carl proudly served from 1955 to 1957 and was honorably discharged. Following his years in the military, he and his family maintained a crop and dairy farm for over sixty-five years. As a teenager, Carl could often be found in the Argyle bowling alley; resetting the bowling pins in the G & K Lounge, that he and his wife Barb would later co-own for many years. He and Barb spent many winters at their home in Florida, after harvest was completed. Carl spent time in the sun room completing puzzles. He put together over fifty puzzles and framed them, giving them to his family as gifts. Carl loved golf and frequently played his favorite courses in the Florida sunshine. He enjoyed many nights playing “Shoot the Moon” and somehow always ended up winning. In his retirement years around the farm, Carl enjoyed his “crop tours” while riding his John Deere gator. He and Barb were avid world travelers. Throughout their lives they were able to tour the world, exploring five continents.
