  LINDA DEE BROOKS

Linda D. Brooks, 66, of Charlevoix, formally of Cass City, died after a short illness on September 22, 2025 in her home at Boulder Park Terrace. She was born April 24, 1959 in Caro to Roland William Sheldon and Lena Lorene Teller.

Linda attended Caro Community School until 1971 before moving to Cass City. After graduation she moved to Troy and started a family. She was a devoted mother to her children Katie and Shawn. Linda was a stay-at-home mom until her children were in school full time. Then she started her career at General Motors as an administrative assistant for a number of years before joining Saturn Corporation as an assistant for approximately six years. Her final job was at Detroit Country Day, where she took great pride in supporting students and their families as the school secretary.

Linda’s hobbies included gardening, shopping, and spending time with family. She loved her flower gardens and would always give visitors a tour of her backyard. Linda was always eager to take her family to the mall and local flower shops. She was always full of life and was fun to be around.

In her younger years, she was a Girl Scout and loved attending day camp and spending time outside with the rest of the scouts. Linda was lucky enough to appear on the children’s program Bozo the Clown, where she won a giant Slo Poke candy bar. She loved the New England Patriots especially Tom Brady and her favorite country singer was Keith Urban. But her greatest joy was her children.

Linda is survived by her children Katelyn (Katie) Brooks of Rochester Hills and Shawn Brooks of Rochester Hills; sisters: Sandi (Steve) Wright of Cass City, Susan (Rob) Hartwick of Holland, Teresa Allor of Bad Axe; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Roland Sheldon; mother, Lena Teller; sister, Sonya Teller; grandparents: Leonard (Sadie) Randall; Rose Sheldon and Lyle Guinther.

Per her wishes cremation has taken place and interment will be at Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City at a later date.
