Carl Edmond Labonte 83, of Brentwood, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025 at his home. He was born on July 25, 1942, in Dover, New Hampshire, son of the late Fernand "Duke" Labonte and Eva (Gregoire) Labonte Carl was raised in Dover, then Newmarket and graduated from Dover High School in 1961. He enlisted into the United States Air Force in 1962, where he proudly served his country until 1965. He served overseas in Okinawa and was stationed in Tampa, FL. He worked as a jet engine mechanic and played an instrumental role in the Airforce F-4 Phantom B acceptance.

On July 13, 1968, Carl married the love of his life, Patricia (Hughes) Labonte Together they shared a devoted marriage of more than 57 years, raising a family and building a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.

His first job post military was at Eastern Air Devices in Dover. Beyond that, Carl worked as a warehouse manager at Portsmouth Paper for 36 years, beginning in 1968 and retiring in 2004. After retirement, he continued part-time work in warehouse management with Inventory Conversation in Hampton, NH until their closure in 2006, then HD Smith in North Hampton. He and Patricia made their home in Exeter from 1972 until 2015, when they moved to Brentwood.

Carl will be remembered for his hardworking nature, easygoing spirit, and the simple joys he found in life. He loved splitting wood, gardening, woodworking, road trips, puzzles, and of course, many perfect bowls of popcorn soaked in real butter that was his signature treat with all the grandchildren. He was always most comfortable in one of his many plaid shirts and baseball caps. His grandchildren who called him "Bapa" brought him great happiness, and he cherished every moment spent with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; three children, son Timothy Labonte and his wife Julie, their children Caitlin Labonte , Sebastien Labonte Gabriel Labonte Karson Labonte daughter Danielle Gaynor and her husband John, their children Hannah Hamel, John Michael Gaynor, son Sean Labonte and his significant other Sue; Sean's children Jesse Labonte Kade Labonte two sisters, Glenda Houle and her husband Bill, and Rachel Dalrymple and many nieces and nephews

He was predeceased by his Stepfather Albert Labonte brothers Daniel and Lionel Labonte as well as brother Father Roger Labonte a sister who passed in childhood Leona Labonte a sister, Angus King, and sister, Lucille Merrill.

A memorial service with military honor will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH. Guests may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until the start of the service at the funeral home.
